Come on, ladies. And gents. We need a place to rant and let off steam. What do you reckon?

At last! Have often wondered why there wasn't a primary staffroom!

clam · 03/09/2008 21:48

Maybe we're all too busy working hard!

I am a KS1er and already looking forward to the nativity LOL! Does anyone have any good sources for worksheets i still don't have an interactive white board so lots of the websites people linked to the other day weren't any help

RustyBear · 04/09/2008 17:12

Do you let support staff into your staffroom?
I'm ICT support at a mainstream junior school with an ASD resource, so I can be very useful!

DANCESwithLordPottingtonSmythe · 04/09/2008 17:14

As long as you don't talk about us behind our backs ! I worked at a school (when I was support staff) when the support staff had a separate staffroom, now that was SHITE!

clam · 04/09/2008 17:17

But you said you were going to bed!

Anyway, if we're doing introductions, I'm Clam and I teach Year 6 three days a week (M, T, W). Spend much of the rest of my time lurking on here, much to DH's disgust.

Oh I have a mixed year one and two class and I work 2 days a week.

cheesychips · 04/09/2008 20:02

Still on maternity leave but can I pop in?

TheCheeseAlarm · 04/09/2008 20:08

I'm lead teacher in Year 6 this year, which is a little scary.

clam · 04/09/2008 20:21

Ooh. Hello. Can I pick your brains for some examples of stories with flashbacks? Apart from Harry Potter and Hatchet.

I'm school admin, can I come in? I'll wash up, I know no-one else will

schneebly · 04/09/2008 20:26

Can I have permission to be noseylurk please? I am just about to start a BA in Primary Education with QTS!

clam · 04/09/2008 20:30

Have a lurk on the rest of the threads in this section as well schneeby. Get some tips from the "other side" about what reading book you should put kids on and so forth...... But of course, we're all on the "other side" too.

It was my first day in a new school today. I already feel the need to lie down in a darkened room with a flannel on my head! It's going to be a long, long year

fizzbuzz · 04/09/2008 21:17

I think ours is a bit dusty and unused at the moment

smartiejake · 04/09/2008 21:35

I work part time in an enhanced provision for deaf children in a junior school. Haven't done any teaching yet as my groups are spending the first week in their mainstream classes to feel more a part of their class and to get to know their new teachers.

I did however spend a huge amount of time trying to fix all our audiological resources that had mysteriously all gone wrong in the 6 weeks holiday!

clam · 05/09/2008 19:58

OK. Friday. Wet play all day. How did everyone get on? Come on.... just opened the wine.

Hello, yr 4 teacher here...

Wet play all day (and yesterday) and we do not have lunchtime staff; small school, Teachers cover whilst they are eating, TAs cover when they are outside. BUT when it is wet, the teachers patrol cover their own classes.

I dont mind, but I have not had a hot cup of tea in 2 days!!

I am actually loving being back; I love this time of year, my classroom is (finally) organised and the kids have not had a chance to wind me up too much just yet
