DS (PFB) starts in Sept - part time for the first term. I am dittering debating whether to send him for packed lunches for a couple of days a week.

I wasn't going to bother, but was chatting to a more experienced mum last night who felt it might be worthwhile, as going full time at the same time as coping with opening your own sarnis might be too much

Thoughts/experiences please.

Ds starts Reception in September.

For the first week they stay until 12 and then come home. The next 2 weeks they stay for lunch and them come home. Full-time after that. (that's the minimum, the settlling in period can go on for longer if necessary)

So it might be an idea to build it up gradually over a period of weeks for your ds.

Thanks mercy
Great plan ... but the lunch club gets very booked up in the first term, so I would have to book it now. Nothing to stop me not sending him for the first few weeks, though...
