Hello mumsnet community!

We are new to London, and are not familiar with the UK education system. However, similar as every mums and dads, we do hope we can find a good pre-prep school for our child.

We have recently submitted registration forms in Wetherby Notting Hill and Eaton House Belgravia. However, it might be already too late as we are on the waiting list and my son is 28 months old now with entry point of Sep 2028. We have been told that most of parents have registered once children are born.

If there is any suggestions of how to move forward from the waiting list, please let us know. Thanks a lot.

Best Regards,
YM

There will be so much movement in the year before your son is due to start. Many people who are holding places at W or EHB will be applying to selective schools who operate 4+ assessments during Nov-Jan. Once those places are offered, many places at the non-selective schools will open up. If you are on the waitlist that is a good place to be. Closer to the time, keep checking with admissions and reiterate your strong interest.
