Esher schools - Cranmere vs Esher Church (primary) and thoughts on Esher High?

Hi all,

We’re currently looking at houses in the West End area of Esher and schools are a big part of the decision.

I’d really love to hear any recent, honest views on:

• Cranmere Primary
• Esher Church School
• Esher Church High School

We’ve read the Ofsted reports and website blurbs, but it’s hard to get a feel for the day-to-day reality.

We have young children (6 and 3), so this is long-term thinking rather than immediate panic (!) but I’d really appreciate real-world insight from local parents.

Is one noticeably stronger than the others? Or are they broadly similar and it comes down to fit?

Thanks in advance!

If you look at the GIAS website you can see Esher Church school has 5% FSM and Cranmere has 16%. They are different schools in different parts of Esher.
For state secondary Heathside Walton is also popular plus you have Tiffin and other Sutton grammars. If you are Catholic you have state Catholic secondary options too.

As a whole Surrey has the highest % of dc in private schools in England and you need to take that into account when making school choices. There is a lot of choice around Esher in both state and private due to the falling birth rate and some times the options can seem overwhelming. It’s best to ask the schools as many questions as you can re where pupils go after year 6.
