Bristol, South Glos - moving schools due to a house move.. HELP

Hi all, I am totally confused so any guidance is appreciated.

My 6year old is currently in Y2 at a primary school in Brislington. We have just had an offer accepted at a house in South Glos- Mangotsfield.

I have been advised I need to submit an application for transfer early June to get her into Y3 at a primary school in the area. My ideal primary school is oversubscribed so likeliness of getting a space I imagine is low. So....

1. If I process the application with just the 1 school choice, if they can't give her a space will she be able to stay at the school in Brislington and just go on the wait list at Mangotsfield C of E?

2. What happens if I process the application and then the house sale falls through?

So confusing!! Thanks in advance for any guidance x

P.s any recommendations for primary schools in/ near Mangotsfield for me to put as 2nd/ 3rd options are also appreciated.

I would recommend also looking at stanbridge, Blackhorse primary and Emerson’s Green depending on what part of the border you are moving too. As you say Mangotsfield is very oversubscribed - it might be worth ringing the council first to find out who has spaces and arrange visits

i know Barley Close didn’t have the best ofsted but have heard they’ve made some great changes to strive for improvement and they probably would have space
