We are looking for a school for DS who is 3 (reception entry Sep 2009). Our second is a girl and are keen to look at only mixed schools.

Visited Heath Mount. Very impressed. All kids seemed genuinely happy. Lots of focus on well-rounded education.

Also visited Westbrook Hay. Good school but not as impressed as with Heath Mount.

Not seen Radlett Prep.

Also saw Sherrardswood but weren't impressed with facilities and building.

Have any of you visited these schools? What is your view. From what I read Radlett is more academically inclined than rest. Are there any other we should be considering. We live in St Albans.

My kids go to Beechwood Park and it's lovely.
Co - ed and just the right mix of academic and broad curriculum.
And lots of kids travel from St Albans.
