dont all schools allow you to pack a lunch rather than buy one? The only time they ask you to buy order one is census day.

That seems an odd thing to base your education preference on.

As far as I know almost all schools allow a packed lunch option. It would probably be harder to find one that didn't.

Buckinghamshire is a big county. There's a distinct North and South. What area are you in?

It is due to my child's allergies, not her education at this stage, that I am most concerned about. She has lost significant weight due to poor health. We are not there yet but will be South.

"No, not all schools allow children to bring in a packed lunch, as it's up to individual schools in England to decide their policy on food brought in from home. Some schools may have strict rules, while others are more lenient""

@Saljamber in the cases of allergies/medical reasons I believe schools would have to make an exception if they normally don't allow packed lunches.
It's incredibly rare though for schools to not allow them.

Not aware of any state schools that don't allow packed lunches, they can have requirements such as no nuts, sesame etc and may say no juice only water. Independent schools may say school meals only. In theory any school should be able to cater for allergies and if not then a packed lunch is the obvious choice.

In my experience, state schools always offer packed lunch so you’d be better narrowing it down then asking the specific question otherwise you’ll end up with a list of nearly every school in the whole
of Buckinghamshire!!
