Fulham Bilingual Admissions – How Close Do You Need to Live & Experience with Non-French-Speaking Families?

Hi everyone,

I’m considering applying to Fulham Bilingual for my child and would love to hear from other parents about their experience with admissions and the school itself.

How close do you need to live to have a realistic chance of getting in? The catchment area requirement is vague and I’m unsure how close by we should be.

Realistically, do children need to speak French at home already to get a place? We’re both able to speak French but don’t speak it regularly at home.

How do you find the school? Is the bilingual approach well implemented? I know many complain about it being “too French”, but that’s fine with us, as long as they also learn English properly.

Would really appreciate any insights from parents with experience. Thanks!

I can't help with Fulham Bilingual but we did get into Marie D'Orliac and are in the French bilingual system with three kids so know the system well.

Think very carefully about sending her and if you dont speak French regularly in the home. All three have struggled and my partner is French!
Make sure you go in eyes open!
