How to choose a GCP book for my 6 yr old

Hi trying to choose some books to help my 6yr old son practice at home. He is smart but daydreams in class. So we need to get the focus going for his education generally and end of ear KS1 SATs.

A friend recommended GCP books but there is a lot of choice between SAT busters and activity books. Not sure how to make the choice, it's our first time getting practice books. TIA 🌸

Ask the school for advice.

Also, and I am sure you have already done this, get your child’s hearing (and eyesight) checked out to eliminate this as a cause. It is quite common for children of his age to have experienced hearing loss, often intermittent, but potentially more long lasting. They get colds, their ears block, they don’t hear what’s happening in a classroom environment with often poor acoustic properties, they switch off.
