What activities do you do at home with your 7-11 year olds to help them improve their Maths?

Looking for ideas here - cooking/measuring is popular and we quite often play verbal maths "games" - quick quizzes around multiplication or sums.

But I'd love some more - what works for you??

Have analogue clocks with numbers, not Roman numerals and refer to them often.

Great idea! Can use for so many things...

Counting money in their piggy banks. Lots of Orchard games practise maths skills. Bingo games which use special numbers/times tables. Playing darts.

Our parents used to do cards, darts and countdown. I still play countdown with my sons, a euro per round.😉

Monopoly and they ‘get’ to be the banker

Loads of orchard games, current favourite times tables heroes
Shut the box
Card games where you have go tally up the total
I always carry a bag of dice and use then for impromptu games when having to wait anywhere
We recite timetables after breakfast ( she asks), likes a quiz
Play a game where she's on roller skates and I ask sums and she gets to roll to the next door if she answered correctly
Same kind of game on trampoline

Also still plays with play kitchen and food so we can incorporate games into that briefly
She has a play til and kitchen and she loves a cafe game where she writes the menu and prices then we do the working out the money and sharing the pizza and loafs of different things.
She's 9 now and we've been doing variations of these things for years.
She also does doodle times tables and maths and sumdog for school but she likes that less.

Love the roller skates @Awumminnscotland - and the cafe idea is really great and I know will go down well.

Thanks @Puppupandaway and @Marblesbackagain - great tips
