That IS very interesting Lupy, because although we have given up on moving to mill hill right now, are staying put in crouch end, we do eventually want to move to finchley. SO thankyou for telling me about this place - will look it up.
You're full of useful info.

Mecano and funkynora, I read about this kind of thing happening in the papers recently. Not good...

Hi Vannah,

Had our induction and interview at Wren academy. Great teachers and Headmaster, for induction day the teachers made all the children feel at ease and gave them wren t-shirts so they all looked the same (not able to identify by school uniform. The kids all left looking really happy saying what a great time they all had. Think this school is going to be really good. 2008 intake is year 7 only and will grow each year untill it reaches 6th form.

thanks for keeping me updated Lupy. For the kids to leave feeling happy says something. My DH teaches secondary and says each year how badly the year 7 inductions are at his school..
Is it a real mixture of children? Do you know what schools they are mostly coming from?

There is quite a mixture of children. Because the intake is 50% CofE (christian) 50% on distance you have children from the local primary schools and some that can travel a fair distance. They all looked like nice children. How old is your child.

Another thing that the school will be doing is to invite the children back to the school 1 week before starting in Sep, showing them around, giving them their timetable and planner and meeting their tutor groups.

that sounds good. Im thinking WAY ahead here, he's only..ehem.. 3. Well almost 3. But I really want to put him into a good secondary and therefore need to move for primary too I imagine..?
Good luck Lupy I will be keeping an eye on this school.

Hi FunkyNora,

Long time no hear, the place secured at MHCH was withdrawn. My friend tells me that the Lea investigated quite thoroughly and eventually withdrew the place.
