Norfolk House School in Muswell Hill

Please could I ask for opinions on Norfolk House School in Muswell Hill? DS is due to start in reception in Sep at a local state primary but we are having a bit of a late change of mind thinking of going private - mainly for the small class sizes as he is a very shy, naturally quiet child who becomes overwhelmed in large groups, with noise etc.

I posted on the local FB group and opinions of Norfolk House seem to be excellent from current parents, however opinions on Mumsnet are really not good! I'm not sure why. If anyone can give opinion I'd be super grateful.

Also not sure if worth the money going straight into private reception or whether to do the state til 8 route....

Thank you!

Local opinion of the school is very good. We personally accepted a place and made a last min decision to change to state. I was put off by the v small class size (was told 10 in DC’s year). DC is naturally very confident and outgoing so we thought a local state school with a larger playground / extra curricular facilities would be better suited (no regrets so far). However, we may consider going private at 7+\secondary.

i appreciate every child is different and the small class size might suit your child.
