Hi everyone, I grew up in London but now living in Amsterdam. I have a 6 year old in group 3.

We are learning about the cito exams.
I wanted to know if there are free copies of past exam papers available? If so where can I find them?

I see a lot of websites selling quite expensive practice papers but I cannot tell if they are real past exam papers or their own. Are there any practice guides you would recommend?

Are there any good online websites/resources that are helpful?

Thank you in advance,

Why would you want to practice, already at this age? If the result indicates your 6 year old needs extra help with somerhing, the teacher and/or the assistant or the "intern begeleider" can help. Cito starts to be important in group 7 and 8 when children/parents/teachers choose a secondary school (praktijkonderwijs, vmbo-basis, vmbo-kader, vmbo-theoretisch, havo, vwo) .

Hi thanks for your reply,

Her understanding of Dutch is still a little shaky and I thought it would be useful to familiarise her with Dutch wording/expression; as well as the layout of the exam which very different from their class work book.

If you could point us to any resources that can help, I would be very grateful.

Ah, I understand. My children used Squla at primary school. They could also use that at home (but only did that during the covid years). Maybe the school of your dc has something similar? Maybe you can ask the "intern begeleider" (that is not an intern :) that is a specially qualified teacher that helps children who need extea help in anywhich way.

I googled and found a few companies that offer practise materials. I don't think is is very expensive, 45 euros : - don't know if this link is allowed, and don't know how your Dutch is: https://wijzeroverdebasisschool.nl/product/cito-groep-3-pakket-cito-e3

Thank you so much for these suggestions. Yes 45 isn’t bad at all, previously I came across some that were about 200.

Since my initial post I managed to get an appointment to speak with her teachers and they advised the best way is to speak with her in Dutch and read to her often. So we are focusing on that, but I figured it can’t hurt to know some of language for exam style questions.

Thanks again. These are very helpful.
