Hoping those who have children currently/have attended have some thoughts on these schools. TIA

All my children are at Bassett, very happy with the school, feel free to DM me if you need any specific info!

Avoid mulberry house like the plague if you have options and are a working parent. Terrible school now. Full of inexperienced teachers and the management is terrible too.

And don’t listen to people who say it’s amazing as they all secretly tutor their kids or prep them a lot everyday at home. Those who don’t tutor or prep don’t get through anywhere. Those who spend ££££s on tutoring manage to get thorough and mulberry takes credit for it in my view.

Name changed as we still have our DC2 at Mulberry. We are happy with the school (but the school is not perfect) and do not share the same experience as the poster above.

My elder DC received 4+ offers for all the top NW schools we applied for. We did no tutoring, no mock assessments and no additional work at home either as we are too busy. My DC learnt so much at school and the staff members are very kind with fun, play based lessons everyday. They love the school and look forward to going every day.

We actually thought the curriculum was too academic focus, given their age and would have preferred more creativity and free play for the nursery.

There is a disproportionate amount of tiger parents who only cares about the 4+. We felt the preparation by the school was more than enough however it does depend on your child natural ability to absorb it all as no school can turn an average child into a high potential one.

We know 5-6 families who tutored despite the school saying it’s detrimental and none got any 4+ offers (all have now moved to another school as they blamed Mulberry). This happens every year.

There are flaws though namely the staff turnover, too many children for each nursery grade and the school fees are just getting ridiculous. The staff turnover issue is a problem across all nurseries though. Another thing we didn’t like is the all vegetarian menu.

Feel free to DM me further

@Namechangehj do you mind sharing which year your 4+ experience relates to? Is your dc1 still at mulberry? Thanks

Thank you everyone for your replies. We ended up touring NHP and really felt like it was the right fit for our child and us and was able to secure a spot for reception the coming September.
