Is there an issue with a school governor being on OnlyFans etc, beyond the icky aspect??

I found out via a quick google that the new school governor is an adult content producer. Her socials show her real name and face (as well as everything else).

Not sure if I'm being unduly prudish - it's not illegal and she obviously won't be stripping off in the governors' meetings. I suppose I question her judgement more than anything!

Nolan Principles and the Governors' Code of Conduct should cover this quite adequately. Better to deal with it before the Daily Mail make a meal of it.

WTAF is wrong with people? You're so open minded your brains have fallen out. Yes of course it's inappropriate. School governors deal with safeguarding, online safety, RSE and child abuse policies. Under no fucking circumstances would I want someone who was actively and enthusiastically* selling porn pics under their own name deciding how my child's school life is managed.

Women who have survived CSE, revenge porn, etc* - I have a slightly different view.

It'd only take one disgruntled/mischievous parent and the school would be headlining the Mail online.

Pumpkintastic · 09/11/2023 18:09

Obviously inappropriate. Massively calls judgement into question. Have you flagged to the head?

Which social media platforms are suddenly allowing graphic adult content with no filters, age verification or paywall? 🤔 Because that would be illegal.

Free porn is illegal now? I don't think so.

Interesting first post, OP

Either you work for the school, in which case you can mention it to a dsl, or you don't and you're massively sticking your nose in and being judgemental.
Either way, it doesn't reflect well on you

@Rogue1001MNer why would I want the content of this post linked to my regular posting name?

I was canvassing opinion, rather than jumping in with both feet in a sensitive situation.

Thank you to pp, who gave helpful views without being rude

How times have changed. I remember in the early 80s, two female teachers appeared in the "Readers Wives" section (not at the same time, I might add...) of a well-known girlie mag (as they were colloquially called in those days), and they soon went round the school! Teachers weren't sacked, so far as I remember.

As for the original question... yes would say it's inappropriate, and to publish under her own name shows poor judgement.. so yes, definitely a concern.
