Thought I’d set up a thread for those of us sitting our DS/DD for the 4+ in 2023 (for September 2024 start date). Anyone had any assessment day(s) yet?

Well done to you and your daughter - tough place to get a spot. I’ve heard the places are usually not released but hopefully you’ve got alternatives too

We didn’t get offered a place but I did wonder if we were a good match or not as all the kids we met were so well behaved and we are more haphazard! Good luck to you

We got an offer from Shhs. There was a discussion about the head leaving, does anyone know about it ? Waiting on NLCS now.

Thank you, we very disappointed with a WL place as we have a daughter in the Senior school. But hopefully there is movement. We are also on the WL for SC. So fingers crossed

I'm not having high hopes at all I think 1st round was a case of a good luck .... lol

Anyone get offers from Habs (girls)? We're not very close to the school - near Hampstead - but delighted to have an offer.

We highly likely will accept habs offer. We are not very close, in Barnet. Near 40mins driving.

Hi all we had a bit of a disappointing morning but have got waiting list for st Christopher’s which we loved. Hopeful for movement. Anyone got an offer they are rejecting??

Convinced more than ever that this is pretty random and really depends on what DC is feeling like in a v short period of time. Got a WL at Channing where I thought DD was in great form but an accept from NLCS where I thought she couldn’t be bothered…

A friend is deciding between st Anthony's til senior school and Hampstead hill to give it another shot at 7+. Any views from anyone?

Agree. Friend applied to all the selective schools in the area, got rejected everywhere and only got SHHS even though DD apparently really not feeling good at all on the day of last assessment. Seems a crapshoot sometimes

Has anyone heard from Habs boys yet?

We love the Cavendish for girls in Camden. Same vibes as SHHS and such a great close knit teacher + parent community. Only issue is that it only goes to Y6.
