Thought I’d set up a thread for those of us sitting our DS/DD for the 4+ in 2023 (for September 2024 start date). Anyone had any assessment day(s) yet?

Second round was only an hour

We’re still waiting! Not that I’m refreshing my email ever 10 mins…

@Yeswoman123 not massively. We’ve got a good plan B though so it will all be ok. Fingers crossed for you.

Hi all. Does anyone know how many applicants there were to NLCS this year?

We got a No from Alleynes too @Procustes (but yes from JAGS so we’re ok). I bet there will be lots of movement on the waitlists - I know two families who got both.

Hey there. Understand there were just under 300 applications for NLCS this year, with ~100 called back for second round.

Does anyone know how likely it is to get a spot at nlcs if one is waitlisted ?
Also do all the north lomdon girls school results come out on the same day .

Hi can anyone shed light on SHHS round 2/ final outcomes? Do they do parent interviews after round 2 or is that the end of the process? Any ideas on how they decide - it’s a mystery to me and no parents seem to have any information on it!!! Welcome any experiences or advice. My daughter had her second round but didn’t say very much about it and the staff basically just shut the gate on you at drop off and pick up which seemed odd to not maybe say hi/bye and only greet the feeder parents??? What can 3 year olds possibly do in 2x 1 hour assessments to get offered / not offered a place?

My daughter sat the 4+ last year and there wasn’t a parent interview- just the two rounds.

Are final offer letters usually sent in the post or by e-mail? Specifically for NLCS and Habs girls? Thank you

Can someone tell me what usually gets asked for NLCS 4+ second rounds?

@Starmum05 hey I couldn't get anything out of the 2nd round .. just skipping and games . Not sure how it went .

My Dd refused to tell me anything about NLCS round 2 whereas for other assessments she gave me details. I wonder why…

It doesn’t sound like our nursery received a reference request from Highgate. Does that likely mean we are out of luck at Highgate?

If I remembered correctly, Highgate doesn't request reference letter when I registered for my kid. I don't think my kid nursery received the request of reference letter. Hope this helps

yep cant remember them asking for this, I dont think a nursery report of 3/4 years old is informative anyway

The schools we had assessments at asked for nursery reports to obtain a fairer and more rounded view of the child. If a DC had a bad day / felt under the weather etc when assessed then the schools would refer to the report, they're also used in the event that the school are borderline whether the DC would be a good fit.

I'm surprised Highgate don't ask, maybe they feel they have enough 'definites' not to worry?!

Is there any chance that the Highgate results might come out tomorrow? I understand that they’ve come out on a Friday in previous years, but their website says next Monday. Do they send emails and letters out on the same day?
