Are KS2 / Year 6 SATS Dates Confirmed For 2024? I want to book a holiday

Hi, does anyone know if the KS2 SATS date on the gov website are fixed and the same in every school? I am in London. I want to book a cheeky holiday for May half term and take DS out a few days early ~20th May.

School haven't confirmed dates yet.

Your link states the papers and dates, they will be the same across the country.

I know the link states the dates, I just wasn't sure if they were tentative and subject to change.

Anyhow I have booked the holiday and paid just the £250 deposit. It was £800 cheaper than last week (BA package deal) and too good a deal to pass. Worst case if the SATS dates change I'll either pay a change fee or forfeit the deposit.

As above, once the dates are published they are confirmed and all schools have to sit those papers on those days.

You’ll be fine - unless King Charles either carks it or abdicates, because then it’s fine to move the test dates willy nilly apparently 🙄🙄

Even then, the tests were only delayed by one day, so just avoid the whole week and you should be fine- and keep an eye on King Charles' health!

How did your children find the year 6 SATS yesterday and today?

DD11 has found them absolutely fine but she's top of the class so I'm not surprised.

We have grammar schools round her so she and half her class sat the 11+ last autumn and I think that's really helped with the SATs.
