Puddle suit for reception - to fleece or not to fleece?

Hi all, my oldest just started reception and he needs to have his own wellies and puddle suit. Should I get him a fleece lined puddle suit or one of the very thin waterproof ones? I’m thinking fleece but I might be wrong.
Thanks.

I would go no-fleece so he can wear it all seasons.

Non fleece. Then it can be worn in all seasons without him overheating. They're also much easier for them to put on as not so thick.

Non fleece. He'll be wearing a coat in cold weather anyway. And to be honest, in cold weather, I'd be inclined to just go for waterproof trousers, as otherwise it's a lot of layers to put on/take off. Neither of mine have ever worn a puddle suit at school (nursery, yes, but they were outside most of the day and there was a sand pit and mud kitchen). A coat has always been adequate, so I wouldn't go too over the top.
