Our PTA are holding an early summer fair in the middle of May. It will be the first for many years and we want it to be a success. We are thinking about themes and have come up with maypole dancing and circus skills so far. I can't think of any seasonal celebrations around that time. Can anyone else?

Also I would be grateful to hear about what other PTA's found worked well. We do want to make some money, but having fun is the priority.

Thanks

Colour stalls are always a good one - pick a couple of colours eg red for one stall & blue for another - you can ask for donations of things in a particular colour - stationery, toiletries, sweets etc - and you can also use any odd donated bits wrapped in tissue paper, or buy some very cheap 'Party favour' type toys (mums will hate the tat, but the kids ill love them...) Stick raffle tickets on & every ticket is a winner - you can work out the charge when you see what sort of things you have got - the kids love it because they always win, even if it's only a packet of crisps. The stalls look very attractive & always sell out quickly.
