How often does your child's teacher listen to them read in ks2?

Just that, wondering if our school is 'normal' with once per week. DS is an average reader. Thanks

Teach Y4 and hear children read all the time - they read things aloud as part of lessons. What I don't do is sit with them individually and write it in their reading record.

We were overseas but the focus changed to comprehension in year 3. Children had help if reading below year level. DS read silently at home. He was selecting longer/more challenging books from the library and getting through them at some pace.

Once a term but neither of my kids are having any issues with reading. It would be a lot more often if they needed more help.
