Hi
We live in Chorleywood in Hertfordshire. We are parents of twins, prospective pupils due to start primary school reception this year. We are torn between putting Chorleywood Primary or Russell School as our first preference. Both seem like very good schools with an emphasis on wellbeing as well as academic aspects.
Chorleywood Primary was rated outstanding in the latest inspection (2017), and had better parent ratings then as well. But Russell School has improved in recent years and had better average results in 2019. Would it be fair to say that Chorleywood Primary seems like a safer bet whereas Russell School has improved but is more of a gamble, as it's unclear if the recent improvement will be sustained?
Any advice from parents of pupils actually at the schools already would be great!
Thanks
