Some options, cut up old xmas cards and stick on with some glitter etc, draw snowflakes, cut out snows flakes and use them as stencil, printing - santa shapes, reindeer shapes, xmas tree shapes.
Have fun

merrydaisy, my friend's Mum makes her cards every year and they are always fab (she is a yr 6 teacher too). I've not received this year's yet but last year she made little white folded cards about 4" high with a clear plastic serrated strip (possibly acetate) protruding from the middle of card. They had a white star glued to the top and some glitter or lametta stuck on to the star. I know it sounds rubbish when described but it was really effective and everyone commented on it when it was on the mantel xx I would imagine the basic concept could be individualised by the children too

I made this with yr5/6 class last week, purely because it is so simple, takes little time and is effective. Seems like you want the same

DS was given one made by a friend that is arty, clever ...and easy to make.

Fold flat card in half to make card.

Make 4 cuts horizontally into the hinge of card, to make three layers: top layer short, middle layer medium, bottom layer longer.

Now turn the threee cut layers inside out, i.e fold the cut strips into the inside of the card...to make a sort of pop-up card of a pile of presents.

Now decorate each layer of 'presents' with strips of cut wrapping paper.

When you ope the card it looks like a pop-up pile of presents.

The outside of the card looks as if it has had steps cut into it.

kids used glitter gel thingies for baubles instead of beads

Cut 2 xmas tree shapes from thick card, then do big cuts through middle and slide onto each other to make standing tree.

(Guess what me and the dds are doing tomorrow?)

Thank you, really good ideas.
I will have enough ideas for next year as well

I do a Rudolph one....

Cut a spud in half (not lengthways) use this to print an oval (ish) of brown paint. Glue on some googly eyes and a red pompom nose, use a med black marker to draw on antlers.

Can be adapted to make FC, using pink paint/pompom, googly eyes, scraps of red felt and cotton wool.

These may not be sophisticated enough for yr 6, I only do young'uns! I'll have a think...
