Year 2 (girl) to be a 'stable animal' in nativity play

Dd (6.5) is the aforementioned with a speaking part. What on earth do I do for that? Anyone know where there are some ready made costumes. Also don't want to make her look daft as she is just getting to the age where these things matter.
Help

Woolies, most of the big supermarkets

but tbh you may do better with a grey or brown lamby-type fleece and some ears on a hairband - consult her...

Make a sheep/donkey head band come mask. And then dress in appropriate animal colours.

Denny185 · 28/11/2007 19:38

Can she not dress in grey/brown and then just buy face mask?

pointydog · 28/11/2007 19:39

big ears on hairband. Facepaint her nose

or there's this type of thing

(nb am guessing stable animals are donkeys, cows, oxen etc - the sheep will be out in the fields in the next scene)

Thanks folks. can manage a headband or those great masks Badger linked to. As she has a speaking part it can't cover her face. Then do you think black leggings and a grey T shirt would do?

Better than having to be an unstable animal, like my cat.

LIZS · 28/11/2007 20:37

Are there any others , you could agree a basic scheme(ie. mask/face paint and coloured clothes) and then each choose an animal.

Got a lamb costume for a fiver in ASDA today. It's a sort of fleecy vest with a hood with a sheeps head on. Looks o.k., though think that year 2 girls are getting a bit old to be dressed like this.

I was a zebra once in the school nativity play when I was in P1. i cried becasue I wnated to be an angel. Then cheered up when I disocvered that as an animal I could lie down, whereas the angels had to stand all through the performance

All of DD's Y1 class are sheep. I bought DD a full cosutume for £10 from Woolworths.
