Hi,
Anyone that can recommend some collections or particular books for a 5-6 years old?

My 5 year old loves Julia Donaldson books and the ‘Oi Frog’ series.

Kitchen Disco..mine all loved that!
Assume you've gone through the hell of Dr Seuss books 'Green Eggs and Ham' among others (had to read it constantly at 5)
Anything Julia Donaldson....

My 5 yr old thinks the Ivy & Bean series is the best thing ever (& the older kids stop what they’re doing to listen too)

Claude & Mr Penguin both well liked

Loves the Harriet Hamster Princess series

Agree with the Oi Frog collection.
And the Flip Flap books. These are great for 5-6 year olds.

The Rabbit and Bear series is hilarious!

We like Rachel Bright at the moment - The Lion Inside, The Koala Who Could, etc. Also Jill Murphy (Peace at Last).

I am also still trying to get my 5 year old to fall in love with The Jolly Postman/The Jolly Christmas Postman - yours might love it. All the teeny envelopes to open!

My 5 year old loves Stick Man, it's a firm fave in our house. Also 'We're going on a bear hunt'

As well as some of the books listed above, DS likes the Winnie the Witch series (both the picture books by Valerie Thomas and also the longer early chapter books by Laura Owen).

The You Choose books and the Book with no Pictures are also favourites.

DS liked some of the younger Roald Dahl books at that age.
