just had a letter home (accompanied my DS1 carrying a paperplate LOL) they're having a plate decorating competition (entry £1) to support Operation Oprhan Aid which works specifically in Zimbabwe - which of course is a country very close to my heart. when I read the letter I nearly ran back round to the school and gave the head and staff a hug

Excellent!

Now, Mrs, resist the urge to decorate that plate yourself

oh no worries about that - I think Art was my worst subject at school and I'm the most "uncreative" person I know LOL.

that's so cool - are you a Zimbabwian then? (sorry - just nosy)

I'm not Zimbabwean but DH is, and I lived out there for 2 1/2yrs, got married there....and DS1 has a "made in Zimbabwe" tag on his bottom .

LOL @ the tag

I love Africa, lived in Uganda for a while myself.
