Yes our meetings are at lunchtime too- think that was why ds kept missing them - too busy playing

KTeePee · 28/09/2007 16:29

Hey i thought you were going to advise on outfit for Uni reunion?

UnquietDad · 28/09/2007 16:35

Yes, I have one too.
She wrote a manifesto on the computer and everything.

Meetings are in lesson time!

hippipotami · 28/09/2007 18:37

Ds was in reception, but only because he told all the other children 'if you vote for me I will vote for you'

I have no idea what they actually did, but he enjoyed wearing the sash they get!

Peachy · 28/09/2007 18:41

DS1 was voted out (only got one vote awwwwwww), DS2 was voted onto young enterprise instaead (the voters could tick for that) which he is pleased with

I think I am supposed to be Uni rep- sure I agreed somewhere along the way, hmm wonder if there's something I should have been doing? Ah well cant be arsed now.

codswallop · 28/09/2007 18:41

my ds1 was a school councillor a couple of yrs ago - I think he won with 3 votes - that's polling a whole 3 votes, not margin of 3 votes

I was sooooooo proud

RosaLuxembourg · 29/09/2007 20:26

DD1 is one. She was disgusted to discover that DD2 hadn't voted for her. DD2 looked very pleased with herself. Revenge is sweet and all that.

PussinWellies · 29/09/2007 21:14

I have TWO.

Double smug mummy emoticon... if only they didn't spend most meetings arguing with each other!

roisin · 29/09/2007 21:38

Dss have both done their stint on School Council.

But they have now both been elected Form Reps for Eco-Council. I have no idea what they do, but they announce it in a very 'superman' kind-of way, which makes it sound terribly exciting!

"We had Eco Council today"

ChippyMinton · 01/10/2007 20:13

Can i be a smug mummy too please. DS1 was voted on by his classmates, and has a proper metal badge. Bless him, he hasn't the foggiest what school council is, and neither do I!

codswallop · 01/10/2007 20:13

ds2 and i want to ask the council to change the shite baby dvds the infants watch at wet play

OP posts:
ChippyMinton · 01/10/2007 20:14

Good plan - ours get the Lion King and other assorted scarey-ania that they won't watch at home

codswallop · 01/10/2007 20:15

ours get shit apprently

OP posts:
RosaLuxembourg · 02/10/2007 11:47

They get to watch videos at wet play? Ours get colouring and toys to play with in the classroom.

ChippyMinton · 02/10/2007 14:21

DS1 told me they also play 'Handyman House' - close questioning revealed this to be Hangman. Have yet to see what they draw and whether it resembles a hangman

codswallop · 02/10/2007 14:24

oh yes videos

is a very grooovy schoool.

has a badge

Eve · 13/10/2007 19:44

School council rep for his class, yr 4.

His speech - he's the best at maths and wants to experience the experience of being on the scholl council to make sure they do a good job.
