I have been told by the head at my child school that he can no longer come along to the school’s basketball club because he is too good. They have given his place and others to other children in the year to in their words to develop their skills. My child is very upset he loves playing it at the school club. I have tried to suggest many times to join an club out of school but he’s too anxious with new people.

I would go and clarify with the school what their policy is. If there are limited places in school clubs it seems fair that your son shouldn't take up loads of spots but also unfair that he should have no opportunity to join in. Could you recruit a friend to go with him to an external club?

How odd. Schools usually love to parade their talented DC. This doesn’t seem right to me. I would complain he’s being excluded. Schools have a policy of inclusion. Look at their policy on inclusion. Would they dare do this if he was black ? I think not. Complain to the head and then to the Governors complains system. This is not right.
