Ours are 5 minutes and it doesn't seem long enough.

How long is normal?

10 minutes over two evenings. Books outside the classroom to look through while waiting.

I think this is just right (for our school) - I would raise any issues with parents during the school year anyway.

I dread parents with children in different classes booking appointments back to back - there needs to be time to get from class to class! It has such a knock-on effect re: timings. So a plea to any parents: please, please, if there is an available appointment for you to do so, please can you leave a gap? Flowers

They were 5 mins private secondary. Totally pointless. The idea was that if there were any issues, they would have already been flagged and you would have already discussed them outside of parents’ evening. TBH, I attended all of them but I don’t really see the point of them when you have so little time. They are just lip service, a box ticking exercise.
