Hello Everyone, my son is writing 7+ exams for Westminster, St.Pauls and KCS this year.
My son is preparing for a while now and struggling in English a lot as of now.
Could someone please provide me more insights on the interview and activity tasks that the kids are asked to participate in and how to ace those bits? How could I prepare my son for these bits?
Thanks a lot.

We got a email about an hour ago, he has been invited back for interview...phew! Ladies good luck to your little ones!

Manchester7 · 09/01/2020 16:53

Ah, congratulations. No email for us so I assume it’s bad news. Very disappointing. But until we get an email we have some hope... Congratulations @Icannotbelievethis001 - really great news for your DS and good luck on Monday!

Manchester7 · 09/01/2020 16:54

And congratulations @Tingting01

abc79 · 09/01/2020 17:03

congratulations @Icannotbelievethis001 and @Tingting01! Still no email here...i guess it’s a no? small hope still...are you in the morning or afternoon session on monday?

Manchester7 · 09/01/2020 17:07

@abc79 we still have no email either - nails completely bitten down! I was wondering the same thing, about whether they’re writing in alphabetical order or doing the morning invitations first. But given the time hope is dwindling here.

Manchester7 · 09/01/2020 17:12

Just got an email - it’s a no for us. Good luck everyone.

abc79 · 09/01/2020 17:19

it’s a no for us too, sadly...good luck to everyone!

Manchester7 · 09/01/2020 17:43

Sorry to hear that, @abc79. Hard luck.

abc79 · 09/01/2020 17:49

thank you @Manchester7, sorry to hear you didn’t get good news either.

Anyone's DC sat at Latymer Prep? Seems we will hear from them today?

AlexRees · 10/01/2020 13:45

Yes, my son sat at Latymer prep. No email yet...

AlexRees · 10/01/2020 16:11

Has anyone heard re Latymer?

Icecreambaby · 10/01/2020 16:41

Not yet

AlexRees · 10/01/2020 17:57

Email just landed from Latymer - we have been invited back

Icecreambaby · 10/01/2020 21:45

Well done! We have been invited back too. Fingers crossed! Wonder how many are asked to go back?

Nivi200280 · 17/01/2020 11:15

Has anyone heard from WUS yet? Expect will be late afternoon?

organiccoffee · 17/01/2020 12:11

wus 7+ offer was out this morning

Nivi200280 · 17/01/2020 12:59

Thanks organiccoffee. Anyone know how big their waitlist is and if it moves?

abc79 · 17/01/2020 15:34

Hello, is there anyone with multiple 7+ offers from WUS and SPJ and it KCS and do you know which one you are likely to accept? Just trying to understand how WL are likely to move in the next few weeks...

abc79 · 17/01/2020 15:35

and/or KCS that was meant to say...

Tingting01 · 17/01/2020 22:03

I can only tell you that during the interview at WUS, there were quite a few parents who said their children had at least 1, or 2 offers, and some said that WUS was not their first choice (due to logistics). Hopefully that may help?

quitestressed78 · 17/01/2020 22:41

We did not take WUS exam but have offers for KCJS and SPJS. We are choosing SPJS over KCS as closer to us. It is strange that people would sit the exam at WUS if it was not their first choice and they had other offers! Unless of course the other offers were not their first choice too and they were waiting for other results. I think from what was said indirectly at SPJS interview is that they over offer by approx. 6 places. Not sure if any of this helps, but good luck to everyone in getting the desired place! At least it is now all nearly all over for most.

Tingting01 · 17/01/2020 23:30

Totally agree, it seems like madness to sit WUS if it’s not their first choice! Unless they were just saying that at the interview. Maybe they want the extra challenge? Anyway yes at least it’s over for most!

abc79 · 18/01/2020 08:00

Thank you @quitestressed78 and @Tingting01, for the input! Congrats on the offers. Hopefully lots will make their decisions sooner rather than later so that lists can move before the deadline - assuming schools haven’t massively over offered which doesn’t sound like the case from what your heard at SPJS. I think all 3 schools (WUS, SPJ and KCJS) have the same acceptance deadline this year? (30th January)?

Heist · 18/01/2020 08:49

We have an offer from KCS and on reserve list at SPJS. While talking to SPJS, they informed that they have provided 61 offers which I believe is totally in line with what @quitestressed78 said.
@abc79 yes, the deadline is 30th January for all three schools.
