Would you discuss this with the teacher or assume it's been dealt with?

DS is in Reception. Was in after school club today so I didn't see his teacher at pickup. This evening he told us that A had told B to "smack DS in the face" (and B did). Later found an accident form in his bag saying he'd been hit near the eye by another child and details of treatment etc.

No idea what led to this, whether DS was provoking A and B somehow or it was a game that went wrong. Would you assume the teacher dealt with it fully at the time or check that she's aware it was deliberate (and encouraged by A), just to suggest they keep an eye on the dynamics of DS with these 2 over the next few days? This is DC1 and the first time we've encountered anything like this so not sure whether to be worried about it or not!

I would just mention it to the teacher to see if they have any more details, and so they can keep an eye.

I would mention it and say that this is your child's side of the story and the teacher might want to investigate if they haven't already.
