His am moving from East Sussex and my daughter's EHCP is in progress for her ADHD. Not looking forward to resettle her again but I am going to start working at Kettering General and wanted to move to Oadby is this a good area, it has been recommended to me. Either that or Market Harborough am a city girl and would like to be in a nice suburb but close to city comforts.

I saw Brookshill Primary and the SEND info was good can anyone recommend any good primaries esp for SEN children she is currently doing ok in mainstream education wth support and her medication. A school with a forest school would be really useful for her and an inclusive policy.

Thanks for your help.

Both Oadby and Market Harborough are pleasant places. If you need the train to Kettering, you will be better off in MH. No idea about schools sorry.

Will the ECHP be finalised before you go?

Oadby is obviously a lot closer to Leicester so the city is only a 10 minute drive away, though as another poster said, MH is better for trains to Kettering (though the train line runs from Leicester station) I know people who are very happy with Brocks Hill and we liked it when we looked around. It was our second choice because I already had a child settled at another school. For secondary, I know from personal experience that Gartree is good for pupils with SEN.

There is specialist provision at Newbold Verdon Primary and the local secondary schools are all good.

Dd was send and went through the Oadby and Wigston schools (not primary as we moved in). Beauchamp was excellent for secondary. If you are driving it's about 40 mins to Kettering though so market Harborough is quicker but Oadby is basically Leicester, just a boundary thing. Only consideration is if they needed a unit rather than mainstream, Leicester has more provision than Oadby
