DS is in Y2 and on Blue band but seems to have been reading through this level slowly but reasonably accurately for ages (middle of Summer term maybe? He does have 1:1 support so I know he's not as fast as the others).
He keeps bringing home books that have graphemes that I'm not sure he's done (I'm not sure he hasn't either - they are mainly fold out books, mainly Aus or NZ which I know hasn't got a great reputation for phonics, and they don't - unlike Biff and Kipper etc. - have the practice sounds on the back/inside the front).
I'm after a list of letter/sound pairings that he is SUPPOSED to know so I can do those as "remember you know this in this word, how about this other one?" and then I can just gloss over the ones he isn't supposed to know.
For example we "laugh" the other day and I can't work out if he's done that combo, or if I should just tell him and move on.
