City of London School for Girls: 11+

my daughter sat the test today; said Maths - section 2 was tough. Wondering what feedback you have had from your girls.
Fingers crossed, will know whether she is invited for interview on 12th!

I think kids are all different.
Mine said she didn’t have time on to fully answer the last comprehension question.
She said math was easy. But math is her stronger subject.

I think this exam being the first after the holiday is a bit tough as kids must have relaxed over the break.
But - at least all are at the same boat.

My daughter is sitting Group2 exams today and she is very keen on one of the schools

MMmomDD- this is my first time through this, any ideas on how to prepare for the interview? Also I have heard rumours about the need to accept CLGS asap if given an offer as they tend to 'over offer'. Any idea about how it works?

Yes there was someone on here the other year who'd had their offer withdrawn as they didn't acceot quickly enough. I think it was City but I could be wrong.
Seemed desperately unfair to me.

Our letter stated an academic interview, which makes me think more maths and English? I would really like to give her a break from slogging away.

In the old days I suspect the interview was to check you were the right kind of parent! Hopefully things have moved on since then...

Has anyone received any email regarding the interview date/time? I was expecting to receive the interview time/date by 4pm today.
I have also applied for Music Scholarship but haven’t received any email regarding the music application/audition.

I have not received the email from City. They will be sending out the interview details on Thursday 18th.
