Those of us who fessed up on the 'always late for school' thread. How you doing now?

We've been doing really well, which is just down to getting up earlier. It's alarm clocks galore in our house and it's working! I've been getting up at around 6.30 a.m. to get lunches and everything done before the kids get up at 7.00 a.m.

They've been having time for nice breakfasts, we have walked and chatted on the way to school, rather than run and screamed at each other. The kids are having time for a play in the playground too before they go into class. I'm quite proud of myself!

I know there wasn't many of us who admitted to lateness, but ALoveHeart comes to mind, and I wonder how she's getting on?

well done

It is hard to recognise something in yourself and even harder to take action on it.

salute you.

I don't think I admitted to being late but the screaming and rushing in the morning, is something I often experience, maybe I should be trying for more consistent early starts too....

MummyPenguin · 08/03/2007 11:53

Thanks. It's well worth it. The kids are much happier with it too.

Hah well we moved house so we're not late anymore .

julienetmum · 08/03/2007 14:35

The traffic seems to have got better recently so we are not late very often anymore.

CODalmighty · 08/03/2007 14:36

presumably hte traffic is bad for everyone though not just yo?

julienetmum · 10/03/2007 23:21

Yup, traffic bad for everyone and lots of people always late. It depends which side of the town you are coming from though. There have been a lot of roadworks recently on the main road running through the city.

I always know I'm REALLY late when I arrive as J & J's parents are leaving!!!!
