A lollipop lady saved my child’s life today

Mums,

Lollipop ladies save our kids' lives every single school run.

But these unsung heroes are getting fewer by the day due to more and more budget cuts.

Every time a lollipop lady is cut, the chances of our kids not coming home goes up.

Write to your local councillor here www.writetothem.com when your child gets home from school to tell them:

A lollipop lady saved my child’s life today

To show our support and urge them not to cut our lollipop ladies and our kid’s safety.

Thanks mums

What about the men? We have always had male crossing wardens.

Lollipop man in Sydney saved ME from being hit by a car whilst I was using zebra crossing after drop off.

We always called him "Superlolly" after that. He had lightening reflexes and leapt between me and the car to save me. Amazing people.

Feel a bit emotional thinking about it and it was years ago Blush

I think the pertinent message is "Write to your councillors", Arkwright.

Use whichever gender (or not!) you feel is appropriate.

Op is right: the road the kids cross for my local school is lethal and the council refuses to put in a crossing. There is now a lollipop lady installed, but goodness knows for how long!
