First choice! Feeling very lucky as it is out of catchment and only has an intake of 20. Can't believe such a lovely school is under subscribed.

Just woke up and DD got 1st choice, we are so lucky it has been out favourite for her for 2 years and means life will be a lot easier, this time last year we would have had no chance due to sibling rule as its only one intake.

For those that didn't fr their preference hope it all works for the best, last year a dear friend was given what she saw as a failing school, she was open minded and went for a visit and now she and her daughter could not be happier!

Good to hear lots of positive outcomes already. Our area's login portal page went down at midnight and hasn't gone back up yet. So frustrating, it was working fine until then. And of course no email yet. Was hoping to know before pre-school/nursery run today.

As I thought we got our catchment school, and didn't get an offer for the faith school which has a higher ofsted rating. Am a bit disappointed but not surprised!!

We got our second choice which objectively I'm fine about but it's always hard being told you can't have what you really wanted!

I was in this position last year (now have DS1 in reception), and will be in this position again next year (DS2). DS1 got his second choice. At the time I was disappointed but now I love it so it all worked out :)

Gah. Just logged onto my council website and nothing, only a summary of my application. Website does say from 7 so I am fully expecting it to crash in 12 minutes
I actually had a bad dream about this last night

Checked at 1:15 and so relieved we got our first choice school. Good luck those still waiting

It's going to be a long day waiting here in London - we won't find out til after 5pm

I'm in Herts and the emails I've had say allocation emails won't be despatched until late afternoon...I think I'll just wait until DH is home at 7pm before checking if I don't notice an email beforehand!

This in London I found out online at least six hours before the email arrived.
I also accepted the place by clicking online those same six hours before the email arrived.

Got our first choice - so relieved, although realistically I thought dd1 should get in - we are 3 minutes walk and it's been undersubscribed in the past.

DD1 will be pleased to know which school she's off to in Sept.

It says we'll hear 'during the evening of the 18th' on mine. It's too much!

We got first choice. No email yet but it was on the portal from midnight. It's our village school so there should never have been an issue but it's good to have it confirmed

It's infuriating that some results won't be up until later. What on wart is the point of that other than to get us all worked up. I'm in Surrey and won't get them till this evening.

Got an email at 3 this morning! We got first place! Yay! 2 children in school, I can't believe how quickly time flies by

Herts email said that there will be no information on the portal prior to emails being sent and that they will be sent in the late afternoon (although can turn up hours after being sent)
why are they punishing us

Can anyone in herts let us know if you receive anything? I will update once I know and have stopped biting nails down to their stumps
