Yup! We all want the best school that would suit our loved ones but chance of getting it is zilch!

I got the same email as you Pengweng. Are you in Trafford? Prompted me to log on to make sure I remembered password and see that the council websites will all be down tomorrow from 8am - 2pm for essential maintenance- I mean, how ridiculous, this will probably be the busiest day of their year, who not do it last weekend?.?

We have twins so double the stress! I keep having a recurring nightmare that they get put into separate schools, which I know won't happen but doesn't stop me worrying. All the schools round here are massively oversubscribed so not sure we'll get any of the choices.

Yes we are trafford with twins too. Wondering if you are one of the two other sets of twins in the Dts nursery lol.

Will make sure i check as soon as the monsters shout at 6.30am then. I agree that's a ridiculous time for maintenance. Argghh

Life is chaos wahoo congrats. I keep logging into Birminghams website but nothing's there apart from it says closed application and I got a bit worried then about what that meant. Any ideas anyone? Or does closed application just mean it was closed after the deadline on 15th Jan and choices can't be amended? I hope it does. The council told us we'd get out emails on Monday but couldn't give a time.

Are they able tell you where you are on the waiting list?

Tara I rang birmingham and they said they are not putting anything up in tge website so we have to wait for emails which start at midnight and continue throughout the morning. Should all know by lunchtime.

Twins never get different schools! If one gets the last place for the PAN the second also gets in. It none or both

Everyone I know has always got in a catchment school in Trafford btw too! Some have shared catchments and everyone I know got 1st choices as long as they had been sensible ....

Our 1st choice is a church school - we're not churchgoers but they have 20 open places so we are hoping for two of those and do live very close. 2nd choice is pretty much a given, we live well within last year's distance. Only 42 minutes to go!

I don't know if anyone will be up well I couldn't sleep and knowing offers out today just checked website and got our first choice. I'm stunned. I thought we would lose out as very small catchment but so wanted it. It's not got the top ofsted but it's small village school and lovely feel and my son has settled so well at the nursery there.
Hope others get good news.
