Parking near *Babington House School* (Elmstead Woods/Chislehurst)

I am a professional working mum whose little boy has recently started at Babington House School. I work 3 days a week, term time only and I am finding parking for Elmstead Woods station a real challenge in order to get to work.

I have managed to book someone's drive for a couple of days via Justpark.com but they are about to commence building work for several months and it will be out of action.(I pay a daily fee to park of £5.60, but I am unsure what Justpark’s fee is). I get to Elmstead Woods station about 8am so too late to secure a space there and in order to work my 8 hours a day near London Bridge I don't have the time to be driving miles away. We are about to go into week 3 and the stress of not knowing where to park and whether I will make a train and get to work etc is a nightmare.

I am very happy to pay someone to park on their drive (either directly or through Justpark) or if anyone just has any good suggestions they would be welcomed.

Any ideas welcomed, but am quickly running out of options.

Thanks for taking the time to read

Nicki (aka stressed out Mum)

I suspect you will have more success on the mn local board or (dare I mention it) NMs.

Could you take someone else's child to school on the days you are not at work if they can take your son on the days you work?

TBH for a few days to stop feeling so stressed could you take a cab?

What are the distances involved (home to school/school tos station?) I mean roughly, not to the metre Smile

OK I've found the distance from school to station - so that would be a feasible cycle. How far from your house to school - could you possibly cycle that?

My children go to another local sch in chislehurst - so similar situation. I have a Brompton bike, so drop the kids, leave the car parked near school and cycle to the station. Or sometimes I walk or take the bus - but it's easier to park near school.

Thanks so much to you all. I have had someone get in touch about renting space on their drive which is great news so I think I am sorted (and the stress begins to ease).

Hi, I'm in a similar situation and am looking for parking within walking distance of Elmstead Woods station if anyone is looking to rent out their space/drive at all?
