I appreciate all your hard work and effort. I appreciate the factthat children are unpredictable and may not gettheir lines right.

I appreciate that it is so difficult to cast the play without running into accusations of favouritism and my dd/ds wanted to be an angel/mary/joseph and it always goes to x who is teacher's pet.

And I appreicate that in order to try and make the whole process interesting and fun for the children you have bought in a lovely little play with cute songs that may not meet the stereotype of a "traditional" nativity but is probably much more inspiring. I appreciate you havn't done this becasue nativities are banned/no longer pc etc

What I don't understand is why you actually bother when there are so many parents who do nothing but moan about the whole thing

Did I call you a bad mother? I asked if you were on the "Bad Mothers Forum" obviously not so no need to continue.

Lucycat · 05/12/2006 21:41

is what part your child plays in the school nativity such a big deal Liesel?

or is this tongue in cheek annoyance?

LieselVonGiftwrapp · 05/12/2006 21:43

Re-read thread, I wouldnt dare slag off my DD - it was a tongue in cheek dig at Moreeggnog.

MoreEggnogAnyone · 05/12/2006 21:43

She's just being a pain in the arse..typical Liesel.

She's actually pissed because she never got the best part in the school show.

julienetmum · 05/12/2006 21:43

Oh, right, I have never heard of bad mothers forum, I thought it was a name for people on rival forums or somwthing

Lucycat · 05/12/2006 21:44

good as life is too short to worry about the petty stuff

LieselVonGiftwrapp · 05/12/2006 21:45

Lucycat as we said it was a joke. Dont think for a minute I would be worried about that.

MoreEggnogAnyone · 05/12/2006 21:45

Don't worry julienetmum, Liesel is always getting up everyones nose. I my experience the best thing to do is ignore her.

Lucycat · 05/12/2006 21:46

goodo - fancy a drink then?

LieselVonGiftwrapp · 05/12/2006 21:47

No she doesnt, Moreeggnog has classy friends - a bit like myself oh and we only drink Wolfblass.

MoreEggnogAnyone · 05/12/2006 21:47

My wine is already poured. I'm watching a shitty film and missing my dh. I have to be up at 6 but don't want to go to bed.
MORE BOOZE PLEASE.

LieselVonGiftwrapp · 05/12/2006 21:48

Are you watching that thing with those bints dancing on the bar?

MoreEggnogAnyone · 05/12/2006 21:49

No Lord of War with Nicky Cage. It's shit.

julienetmum · 05/12/2006 21:50

Do we HAVE to have this language on a thread that I started to try and show my appreciation to overworked caring teachers. If you want to chat between yourselves, start a thread in the CHAT section please.

Thats far too high brow for me, Im watching some thing with bints dancing on the bar - its also shit.

MoreEggnogAnyone · 05/12/2006 21:53

As an overworked and caring teacher I thank you and apologise.

cece · 05/12/2006 21:56

Asa teacher who has put on these plays for several years;

  • thank yo for your apppreciation
  • on the whole I don't hear the moans. I have onlyu had one mum come and shout at me about plays and that was because her ds had been creative with the truth. By the end she was shouting at him
  • we do it becuase we are told to do it from our boss, the kids enjoy it, most parents enjoy it and it can be fun!

I would also like to say that DD is a shelpherd again and I am now able to ratlle out a shepherd costume in one and half hours (which I have jsut done) {fgrin]

cece · 05/12/2006 21:57

whoops

LieselVonGiftwrapp · 05/12/2006 22:00

Juliet - also an overworked and caring teacher.
