Bishops Cannings is very good and can get quite oversubscribed, especially with the schools on that side of Devizes not being as good, All Cannings, Rowde and Chriton also have a great reputations. Heddington and Cherhill are more local to Calne so I don't know them that well. They are closer to Calne where, if a church school isn't an issue, then St Edmunds has a great reputation.

Hi pumpkin, thanks for replying! I am east of calne, and ds1 currently is at nursery in Avebury, so when ds2 is at nursery, they will only be together for about 4 months before ds1 goes off to school. I wanted somewhere east or southeast, and I don't particularly want to be driving both directions. I also don't want them to go to a town school. Very difficult!
