Are they still meant to have individual targets or do they only look at that year groups attainment targets in the curriculum?

we were given targets for both my children - yr1 and yr2.

My DC (yrs 5&2) still have individual targets.

What are the targets like - are they linked to the year group attainment ones or old levels or not labelled that way.

they aren't labelled like that - just things like say an english target of
"use capital letters consistently at the start of sentences' or maths of learning certain table etc. No indication of old levels (even though still applicable for yr2 child).

Yes, we have targets but they aren't 'levelled' they are just the child's next step - answer 'why' questions about a passage read, use a range of punctuation in work, etc.

That makes sense about them not being tied to levels.

No targets in sight at dc's school. Hmm.

To be fair, I only know DD's target because she's the type of child than mentioned them - nothing from the school itself.

Dc do not have any themsleves, not just a case of me not knowing them.
