Child's assessment of attainment on entry to reception (fs2)

Hi, wonder if anyone knows about assessment of attainment. My DS has just started reception and we have received a graph from school today. However I don't really understand what it all means!

There is an open evening after half term when the teacher will be explaining it but wondered if anyone can help me in the meantime.

Sorry, but I've never heard of them and I've had 2 children go through reception.

any clues on it? I would assume it is the school's way of plotting what the child is already able to do so that as they progress they will update it and it shows progress more obviously. I think some schools use packages where they can plot national curriculum levels further up the school so it would show at a glance how a child is progressing, it sounds like this is probably their version of it for Reception.

Yeah sorry there are levels on one side of the graph but they are numbers with no code so I don't know what they mean? I assume school want to go thorough it with the parents but I'm not sure why they've given it to us now when the meeting is after half termConfused

Are the levels 30-50 and 40-60? Otherwise not sure... are all the ELGS there?

it does sound strange to not give you any info to go with them.
