We are looking at moving to the general area (Leamington/Stratford/Kenilworth). I am trying to find good primary schools in stratford upon avon which don't require you to be Christian to get a place. Can anyone help?

I'm not sure there are many that do actually require you to be Christian i.e. you need to have attended church for a length of time.

Or do you just mean that you want a totally non religious school?

In case you're talking about the former, my ds has just started at a CofE primary in a village not far from Stratford and we didn't have to provide any proof of being religious.

Oh thanks, I only meant you don't need to have attended church or have had your child baptised. Would you recommend any of the primary schools in Stratford. Our daughter is quite academic so we would like to send her somewhere good.

I had a quick look on Ofsted and the majority in Stratford town centre are good. Welford on avon is outstanding but obviously Ofsted ratings aren't everything. It would really depend on whereabouts in Stratford you need to be. I would start by checking out the willows, Thomas jolyffe, Stratford primary, Welford upon Avon. It's also worth thinking about what secondary you'd want to end up at...It is a grammar school area so that's something else to consider.

It also depends on whether you want a busy school environment with full class sizes or village schools where class size is much smaller - there is a mix of both in the Stratford area.
