Making the move to mid Sussex - burgess hill, which school?

My son is due to start reception next year so we are applying this year for his place and have decided to leave Sutton to move for burgess hill as we were unhappy with a lot of the schools this end / general happier life we are imagining in a more rural setting and being closer to the sea.
Can anyone shed some local insight on the schools?

My children went to Birchwood Grove School which was rebuilt about 4 years or so agoand I can only really comment that that was a good school for them, with no real issues. There are other schools across the town, Manor Field being one of the larger I think. You should be able to find out more info by looking at the West Sussex County Council website. Schools will also depend on whether your child/children have special needs etc. Burgess Hill is a growing town but is very clise to the countryside and about a 20 min drive from Brighton and the beach. I lived in Brighton before and BH is a much calmer and quieter place.
