Do I send this to the HT? Do I need to copy it to the Governing Body?

Dd leaves her most wonderful primary school in three weeks. I intend to write to express my gratitude as they have been exceptional in their support of dd who has autism.
I thought I would send it to the HT making mention of the various teachers and TA's who have gone the extra mile for dd during her time there. Is that ok rather than individual letters?
The HT retires though on the day dd leaves so was wondering whether I should copy it to the Governing Body?
Your thoughts please Flowers

I think that is a lovely thing to do. If you send it to the chair of govs, I think it is likely to be read out at a govs mtg.

Yes, I would also copy it to the governing body. I think it's a lovely idea to write to the HT, but I think I would write a brief card to the teacher as well, and enclose a copy of the letter.
