Does anyone have any experience of Kilmington Primary, Shute School or Chard school? We are considering these for our two daughters, aged 4 and 2.

Any other recommendations near here?

Thanking you...

I'd Forget Chard school, its under threat of closure within the next few months Sad

My friends children attend so they're now looking for an alternative just in case.

Thank you so much!
We visited Chard school and spoke to the head about this, she was very honest and I have my sympathies as this seems to be down to a bad school governor??? and it seems unclear as to the future still...
Do you know much about Kilmington/Shute School? And is your friend happy with Chard School?? Just any info/thoughts you have would be amazing!

I know I could get a place at Kilmington/Shute very easily as we are (hopefully) moving to very near by, for school start Sept this year. We are currently living in London but will definitely be moving. We have applied to schools in London as we didn't realise we would be moving before the deadline.... However I have spoken to the heads of Kilmington and Shute and that shouldn't be a problem. I was very impressed with all three schools, I was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts?

Thanks so much again Thanks

Hi, a bit late to this posting but just wanted to say that for anyone considering Chard School, the school is very much open and the future is looking much brighter after an overhaul of the Governors last year. It's a wonderful school with a truly family feel where the children are nurtured to reach their full potential in small classes by the wonderful, specialist teaching staff. Exceptionally high academic record too with a high percentage of children getting into local private schools on scholarships as well as going on to Colyton Grammar School. I can't recommend it enough! My children genuinely look forward to each and every day at Chard. Open Day on March 7th 2015 if anyone is considering the school as an option for their children.
