Today I had to request tickets for DD1's Christmas show. Two tickets per child, all fine. One for DH on one day; one for me for the other. Again fine. Only I have DD2, and logistically I would struggle to get someone to watch her. I had thought about just turning up with her, but wrote a little note asking if she can come and sit on my knee. The answer came back that of course she can come, and here's an extra ticket so she can have her own chair.
I'm sure someone will come along and tell me it isn't fair that I got an extra ticket, but this little thing really has made me so happy.
