Are you glad you paid for primary education or was it not really worth it?

Depends what you want. I took DS1 out of his state primary at the beginning of year 5 for very specific reasons and paid for the next two years. I gave him, and me, what we wanted so yes, it was worth it. DS2 went to the same independent school for two years as DS1 was there when he started reception and I would say that it was a complete waste of money - he would have done much better if he started at the state sehool he's in now. Horses for courses!
