She is in reception. On Friday she decided all by herself to write a storybook in school. She wrote a story and illustrated it - the storree of the two bees who maid frens it's called Grin

Her teacher was so impressed with her that she called dd in from playtime to make her show her book to another teacher. Smile

I think she's amazing, especially considering the progress she has made in such a short time, and I just had to share that!

That's wonderful. Every right to feel proud of her. She obviously tried really hard and put a lot of effort into her work. Well done to your DD!

Today the teacher ran after me in the morning to tell me how amazing she thought dd1 was! Smile

And she said she'd take her to the headteacher to have her book praised...

wow! Really made my day! Smile

(Together with good-ish news from scan, that is)

That's lovely - my dd is in year 1 and it's so fantastic when they start doing stuff because they want to do it, and having the imagination and the ability to put it into words and pictures is brilliant. Love the spelling, tooGrin.

Blu · 22/05/2006 14:31

That's fantastic, Emkana - be proud, and loud about it Smile

PrettyCandles · 22/05/2006 14:37

Trust me to put a dampener on things by breaking dd1's lovingly grown sunflowers. Shock (see thread in chat)
